A Sunday In The KY.

A great autumn ride! The weather was very cool this morning, in fact it was cold! When we left this morning the temperature was around 43 degrees, but by the time we reached Kentucky, the sun was out and it was a beautiful day. I took Michelle and Jonathan to Maysville Ky. This is the town I visited by myself on Labor Day. This afternoon we walked around the town, then had some lunch at a local pub, before riding home. The trees will begin turning colors in another month or so, when that happens this ride will be fabulous! Here's some pics. (Michelle thought she looked heavy in these pics, so she wanted me to tell you she had several layers of clothes on!)

On The Road Again

Everyone at the Slark house had plans of their own today, so I decided to jump on the bike and take ride. An old customer of mine had told me about a trip he and his wife had recently taken, so on a whim, I decided to try the trip for myself. I took off around 11:00 a.m. and headed south on St Rt. 68, about three hours later I was crossing over the Ohio River into Maysville Kentucky. What a great ride!

Maysville has murals painted on their flood walls that are amazing to behold. The murals took ten years to complete and they have garnered much national attention. I took a few photos but they simply do not do them justice.

On the way home, I called Michelle, and she, and a friend, met me for a beer in Yellow Springs! A Nice ending to a nice day!
