The price motorcyclists pay for riding.

On Friday my Zen like state was abruptly interrupted by a Honda Civic.  I was riding back to the dealership after a relaxing lunch, when a young driver ran a traffic light at the intersection I was crossing.  By the time I saw him he was bearing down on my left side. Instinctively, I rolled on the throttle and narrowly escaped an impact.

I immediately breathed a sigh of relief then thought about going after the kid, but quickly realized that although yelling at him would make me feel better, it would be a coarse action and of no benefit.

Close calls are the price motorcyclists pay for riding in the breeze and that will always be the case.

Rick,

Glad you were able to evade the 4 wheel menace! Unfortunately today we live in the world of distracted drivers who have radios blaring, texting, calling, GPSing, eating and everything else they do. I have had a few of those occasions myself. Once I did follow someone and gave them what for and the fact of the matters they don't care and then say youbhave road rage. Umm Hello!? Yup I had road rage because you just about nailed me with your car. Cagers!

I really did think about going after the kid, but as you said, it would have been of little benefit. Thanks for the insight!
